What to Do After a Work Injury
If you have recently suffered from a work injury, you must act quickly in order to initiate your claim on time and collect the necessary evidence and documentation. There is a one-year statute of limitations on all Arizona workers' compensation claims, but the sooner you start the better.
First, notify a supervisor as soon as possible following the injury. Contact them in writing and provide the following details:
- When and where the accident occurred
- How the accident occurred
- What symptoms you are experiencing
Your supervisor will then provide you with the next steps necessary to initiate a claim, including any paperwork you will need to fill out.
